“Music is God’s gift to man, the only art of Heaven given to earth, the only art of earth we take to Heaven.” -Walter Savage Landor
Last night, I was treated to a barrage of musical awesomeness, not by some lame-ass band, but by a choir.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a choir. And not one of those show choirs that you see on TV, but the freaking CHOIR OF THE WORLD. I’m talking about the UST Singers who just recently staged a thanksgiving concert entitled “Unending Grace, Unending Praise” last night in the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
The choir, under Prof. Fidel G. Calalang Jr., recently won 1st prize in the Mixed Choir and Youth Choir Category, 3rd Prize in the Chamber Choir Category, and the first in the history of Llangollen and only Filipino and Asian Choir to win the CHOIR OF THE WORLD Title twice. They also just finished their 18th International Concert Tour of South Korea and Europe where they garnered more than 15 top choir festival prizes.

I’ve always liked watching shows in FOX Asia channel ever since they started airing it in the Philippines. One of the shows I seem to can’t stop watching is NCIS.
NCIS is a procedural drama show that follows a team of special agents that investigate major crimes happening in the US Navy. Aside from the show’s premise and storyline, what makes this show different from the other crime shows out there is the character development involved in the show. The writers clearly took the time to write about characters that people can clearly identify with and relate to.
Though all main characters in the show are well-written, the leader of the team, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, is I think, one of the greatest characters in TV show history. He’s cool as ice, a great leader, a freaking sniper, and has an air of mystery to him. Aside from that, he has a set of rules that he enforces with his team.
I think it’s nice to have some rules to guide you in your life. ’cause as what the wise Red Forman said, “Without rules, we might as well all be up in a tree, flinging our crap at each other”. Here’s a list of Gibbs’ rules and I hope that this will make you start thinking of your own rules that you can follow, or at least a couple of his rules are appropriate in certain parts of your lives.
